Entertainment and Chewing Issue: Hang a bird toy or two to the D-rings on the support panels can keep the bird busy and away from chewing the carrier. To keep the toys from swinging widely and hitting the bird when the carrier is in motion , tie a string to the toy and thread the string to two small rings perpendicular to the large D-rings. For the big chewers, add the optional wide panel set that covers the zipper and seam of the front window mesh. These panels can be unsnapped and replaced very easily.

Food and Water: Each Pak-o-Bird comes with a dragon wood perch and two 5 oz. stainless steel cups for food and water. A large grommet is on one side for inserting the dispensing valve or tube of a water bottle strapped on to the outside.

Safety and Comfort Features: All zippers have an auto-lock device that stops the zipper from sliding without lifting the puller and prevents accidental escape. Two loops or sleeves in the back allow the carrier to be strapped to the seatbelt in the back seat or around the front passenger seat by a separate strap. Two reflective strips on the front of the carrier make the carrier visible at night. All metal fasteners used in the interior are made with no lead and zinc. The back of the carrier as well as the front/back straps are padded for your comfort.

Cleaning and Storage: With the semi-rigid support panels and bars detached, the carrier can be unzipped and open up flat for a complete cleaning and easy storage. For regular cleaning, unattach the small corner flaps and unzip the side to remove the floor panel. The carrier can be water-hosed inside out.

Maintenance: Various reinforcements have been added to the carrier's structure to prevent the plastic inserts from warping over time. To maintain the carrier's shape, when not in use, please unzip the entire carrier, detach the support panels and store it in a flat configuration. Creases created on the stainless steel mesh are not reversible, please handle the mesh with care.

Features:

Visibility	A dense mesh is used to minimize the possibility of mosquitoes entering the carrier. Stainless steel mesh is used for birds that like to chew. Mesh allows birds to see out, and you to see in, similar to you looking out a screen on a window.
Ventilation	In addition to a large mesh area on three sides (left, right and front), there is a "skylight" in the back. A dense mesh is used to keep mosquitoes from entering the carrier and avoid the bird from chewing through the mesh. Since 2008, a new stainless steel mesh with 54.8% of opening has been used, offering improved ventilation and better visibility for the owner to see the bird from outside.
Carrying Method	It is BOTH a front and back carrier as well as a shoulder carrier for the regularly stocked sizes: XS, S and M size. Two sets of triangular rings for securing the straps - the middle two rings are for the backpack position and the outer rings are for the front carrier position. All the straps are adjustable. Stroller is also available at an additional cost. Strollers fit Pak-O-Bird Carriers sizes Small and Medium with a 13" Width.
Minimize Chewing	There are two D-Rings on each side on the interior roof of the carrier for hanging bird toys. Two additional rings are on the floor for strapping and holding the bird toys in position when the carrier is in motion. Keeping the bird from picking on the seam: An optional set of wider panels is available to cover the joining seam of the zipper. We've learned that some birds may pick on the stitches.
Comfort	The back of the carrier as well as the front/back straps are padded for your comfort.
Cleaning	The carrier can be unzipped to a flat configuration for a complete cleaning. A removable bottom floor panel is added for daily use. Hand wash only.
Privacy	One curtain in the exterior of each side. They can be rolled up and attached or draped down and attached. Same for the front window flap. There are two strips of 'sky light' in the back that are not covered.
Storage	The Pak-o-Bird's sides and front can be unzipped and folded into a flat configuration. It's very compact and can be stored away.

We ordered the Pak-o-Bird with stainless steel mesh for Howard, our Eclectus. I am glad we bought it, we LOVE it! We ask "Howard, want to go bye-bye?" and he goes over to his backpack and crawls in!

The panel on the floor wipes clean easily. The tie downs for the toys are a great idea. Howard isn't a big chewer but he has shown absolutely no interest in chewing on his pack.

I have 2 quibbles, the slots for the seat belt are too narrow for the seatbelt buckle and I wish it had a hip belt. I called up Celltei and they said they would change the next production run to make the seat belt slots wider! How's that for responsive?

They also said the bigger sizes come with a hip belt. So, if I wanted to send ours back, for $25 they would add one. The reason the M doesn't come with one is because it is not long enough on most people for one to be useful.

All in all I think the Pak-o-Bird is a great product and highly recommend it!

The Pak O Bird carrier is the perfect carrier for birds. I bought one for my CAG and I couldn't be more thrilled. My Grey loves to chew and pick at all fabrics, but this carrier has plastic barriers/braces that keep her from accessing the seams.

With all the features the carrier has, this was the best investment I've made in a carrier and I would recommend it to anyone.

I can securely strap the carrier in with a seat belt, making traveling a breeze.

I can bring her on hikes with me, I can bring her to fairs with me, I can bring her to my family's house on holidays..

This carrier's offered my bird a whole new traveling experience to enjoy, she gets to go a lot more places with me, now.
